  • Stu Webster

    Solicitor/Director

Stu is a Kiwi lawyer turned California attorney.

He’s the product of the small Northland town of Maungaturoto and studied law in Wellington and Auckland. After graduating LLB (Hons) form Victoria University, Stu spent most of his practising life in Hawke’s Bay where he was a partner of a well-known Napier firm. His practice focused on business law with particular emphasis on commercial litigation and employment.

After 24 years as a partner he moved to the United States where he sat and passed the California Bar and set up his own law and consultancy firm based in Los Angeles. He retained his New Zealand practising certificate and now operates in both jurisdictions.

Following a trip back to Hawkes Bay during the Covid lockdown in 2020, Stu did a stint with Steve to fill a short-term vacancy at Lunn & Associates and was later invited to become a director in October 2021. His practice areas include residential and commercial conveyancing, business acquisitions, trusts, commercial leases, civil litigation and employment.

In addition to legal practice, Stu was a foundation director and shareholder of The Village Press olive oil company. He was also one of two government-appointed directors on Hawke’s Bay Airport Board, a director of Justitia Mutual Incorporated, an Iona College Council member, a lecturer at the Eastern Institute of Technology, a Vice President of the New Zealand Law Society and holds a certification in Advanced Directorship from the New Zealand Institute of Directors.

Stu describes himself as a Kiwi lawyer, California attorney and a cross-border consultant. He says he’s privileged to work for and alongside smart, successful entrepreneurs on both sides of the Pacific.
